“The Anthology” now available
Brookwood Florida is pleased to present “The Anthology,” edited by New York Times best-selling author, Lisa Unger, which showcases the work of Brookwood poets over the past eight years. Acclaimed novelist, Lisa Unger, came to know Brookwood’s amazing residents when she did a writing workshop for them as part of Brookwood’s poetry program, facilitated by Jeanne Chase and Kathie Mayo. Other recent workshop presenters have been poets, Dr. Helen Wallace of Eckerd College, and Maureen McDole. The Brookwood poetry program has been warmly embraced by the girls over the years not just as a creative outlet and skill builder, but as a therapeutic way to put their thoughts and emotions on paper. The book was designed and illustrated by artist and Brookwood supporter, George Chase.
