YOUTH CARE WORKER
Youth Care Workers (YCWs) provide supervision and behavioral re-direction to teenage girls living in a large residential program. YCW’s work as a team, providing coverage 24/7 for emotionally disturbed and challenging youth – victims of neglect, abuse, and/or abandonment. Full time, part time and sub (on-call) YCW’s are needed for the 4PM to Midnight and the Midnight to 8AM shifts
including weekends. Must be available for weekends. Benefits for full time employees only.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Supervise teen girls in residential care
- Behavioral redirection of youth
- Review and correct chores-compliance
- Transporting residents in agency vans
- Oversee recreational outings
- Teach/role model independent living skills
- Complete comprehensive rounds/accountability for teens activities
Qualifications and Skills
- High school graduate plus. at least, 10+ “post graduate adult
life experience”
- Previous experience with special population is helpful
- Positive parenting abilities/experiences
- Common sense and mature judgement are essential
- Patience and ability to positively interact
- A valid Florida driver’s license is required
- Pass all DCF, federal state, county, and local background checks
- All female group home requires all female staffing
